    We agonised over the problem of creating duplicate pages in separate categories until we found multicategories extension. It changed the drop-down menu in the article into a multi-select menu so we could display the article in more than one category automatically. Well done, guys!!

    There should be an option on the Paypal login page that allows you to pay directly with a CC.

    Dont work in modules?

    I've installed this component in my site with joomla 1.6...the articles in more than 1 categories works ok when I asign a menu link to one category. But in the modules (for example to show latest news from 1 category dont works) only wors in the root category.

    Example I have this categorie structure:

    -Noticias
    --Bandas de Musica
    --Valencia
    --Premios y Concursos
    ---Premios
    ---Concursos
    --Certamenes
    ---Certamen Provincial de Valencia
    ---Certamen Internacional Com. Valenciana

    if I select Noticias in a module for display the latest news, as the parent category works perfectly. But if I select Certámenes (or more than one category), as it is within the Noticias dont works and shows nothing

    You can see in menu 'Noticias' the module 'Últimas Noticias' with root Category 'Noticias Selected', and Menu 'Certamenes' with a subcategory selected.

    i purchased this on 31st July 2011 and download it the day after.. now when i visit this site, no matter how i try to " LOGIN " it does not want to log me in.. whats happening? in the username area, i put my email n then login, then it works.. but the problem is, when i click " Multi Categories For Articles ", it does not show me download corner or the changelog for the extension..

    the download area + changelog is very important for developers to view and access the files but unfortunately, cant download or view the changelog.. so where do i download the " latest file " ? and this extension is for 1 year right? please solve this problem, thank you..

    hi.. thanks for fixing the LOGIN button.. now the LOGIN is working, but the moment i click the "Downloads" link, it brings me to DOWNLOAD AREA.. but i cant download any files because it asked me:-

    Please enter the Download-ID you've got in the e-mail and click 'Start Download'.

    so something is missing here.. always when we log into download area, the files are there to be downloaded but here we dont have it.. perhaps u can fix it too, so we can download it anytime or download the latest file.. if there is a changelog, it will be much better..

    whats happening here? i sent email and already 4 days but still no reply.. this is my email which i sent via submit ticket:-

    after i login, on my right is USER MENU.. and then i click DOWNLOADS and it brings me to the download page but i cant download it coz i dont have the ID.. please solve this problem.. its very difficult coz i have to wait so long to download the stuff and then in the end, im not able to download it coz it says Invalid Download ID.. please fix this problem, thank you very much..

    uninstalling?

    hi.. i have a question.. since i already install the previous com_multicategory, do i need to uninstall it first before i install the latest file? will my data lost or will it be still there? coz previously, i have made so many articles in too many categories using com_multicategory.. so now, when i want to install it, it says the component already installed.. the thing that makes me worry is that, i afraid if i uninstall it, all the data will be gone.. so to make sure, just wanna know is it safe to uninstall it and then install the latest file?

    also, if you able to make like other components, it will be great in which when u install the components or extension, we dont have to uninstall it, we just install it and automatically it will re-write the data.. thanks again for ur time..

    It is safe to uninstall and reinstall. It will save your date so you will not have to reassign any fields.

    And yes, we will work on a simple update instead of requiring uninstall/reinstall

    the test-news is just working fine in one category. In the other one it's display correct in the news-archive, but it's not displayed in news at first.

    Hi,

    The extension works great, but when do you plan a release compatible with Joomla 2.5 ?
    Joomla 1.7 is known for a important security issue and most admins now ask to update IMMEDIATELY to the latest 2.5.3...which i did, and now nothing works anywaore with Multi Categories.

    Better get busy, 49$ is a lot of money for just an extension and virtually NO support whatsoever...

    It doesn't work with jcomments. When an article is addded to more than one category comments don't work. I wrote to support yesterday and today. I hope they will give me a reply because I don't know, what to do - install another component or wait for their help?

    I purchased this 7 days ago and have yet to recieve the link. I've called several times and am told the link was sent but I have not recieved anything. I've now emailed and no response again. The gentleman who I spoke with informed me there are never issues with people recieving thier links but I see that this is a persisent problem, customers not recieving their links. I need this to get resolved ASAP. I also had to use a different email address to register just to post this comment. Is mine blocked??

    I understand the frustration that the downloads for the component are not instant. However, you shouldn't have to wait long to receive an email that contains the link to your download. Please also remember to check your spam folder. If you have purchased the product, and it has been more than four hours and you have still not received the component, please feel free to send me an email. I will be more than happy to send you the attachment for the component myself. Please also keep in mind that we offer free support for our components, and we are more than happy to fix any problems you are having, so long as they are not caused by third party components.

    BUG - Joomla 2.5 - Not saving a new article category in front end...

    Hey - need some help -

    If you login to the front end of a Joomla 2.5.11 site and add an article to an existing list of categorized articles, the category is NOT saved when published and the article does not appear. I tried to assign it in the box - but nothing happens.

    You have to login to the back end and find the article and manually assign a category to it (the category column is blank beside the article name).

    Not sure what to do. Let me know!
